PENGARUH SUKROSA DAN BAYCLIN TERHADAP KESEGARAN BUNGA POTONG KRISAN (Chrissantemum,sp) VARITAS FIJI WHITE

Abstract

ABSTRAK Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui pengaruh kombinasi perlakuan sukrosa dan bayclin terhadap kesegaran bunga potong krisan varitas Fiji White. Penelitian ini dilakukan di Laboratorium Fakultas Pertanian UKIT dari bulan Maret sampai dengan April 2015. Metode percobaan yang digunakan ialah percobaan faktorial dalam Rancangan Acak Lengkap ( RAL ), terdiri atas dua faktor yang dikombinasikan . Faktor A yaitu sukrosa yang memiliki tiga taraf sebagai berikut A1 : 0 gr, A2: 2 gr dan A3 : 4 gr. Faktor B yaitu bayclin dengan tiga taraf yaitu B1 : 0 ml , B2 : 0,5 ml , B3 : 1 ml. Masing-masing kombinasi perlakuan diulang tiga kali sehingga terdapat 27 unit percobaan dengan setiap unit terdiri 5 bunga potong krisan yang brazil dari Kakaskasen Dua. Pengamatan dilakukan pada lamanya kesegaran bunga dalam hari, perubahan diameter bunga dan total larutan terserap. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan bahwa kombinasi perlakuan sukrosa dan bayclin dengan konsentrasi berbeda berpengaruh nyata terhadap lamanya kesegaran bunga, persentasi kerusakan, perubahan diameter mahkota bunga dan total larutan yang terserap. Kombinasi perlakuan sukrosa 2 gr dan bayclin 0,5 ml ( A2B2 ) memberikan hasil terbaik dengan lama kesegaran bunga 22 hari.

ABSTRACT. This study aims to determine the effect of combined treatment of sucrose and bayclin on the freshness of cut flower chrysanthemum varieties Fiji White. This research was conducted at the Laboratory of the Faculty of Agriculture UKIT from March to April 2015. Experimental method was used factorial experiment in a completely randomized design (CRD), consists of two combined factors. A factor of sucrose that has three levels as follows A1: 0 gr, A2: 2 g and A3: 4 gr. Factor B is bayclin with three levels, namely B1: 0 ml, B2: 0.5 ml, B3: 1 ml, each treatment was repeated three times so that there are 27 experimental units with each unit comprising 5 chrysanthemum cut flowers originating from Kakaskasen Two. The results showed that the combined treatment of sucrose and bayclin with differ concentration significantly affect the length of the freshness of the flowers, percentage of damage, changes in flower crown diameter and total solution is absorbed. The combination treatment of 2 g sucrose and bayclin 0.5 ml (A2B2) gives the best results with longer freshness of flowers 22 days.
